Join us in partnership with Friends of the Library for a Virtual Authors Series event with Deborah Roffman ‘68.
Nationally certified human sexuality educator and author Deborah Roffman '68 (a.k.a. "The Sex Lady") has worked at the cutting edge of her field since its inception in the early 1970s. Currently in her 50th year of teaching at the Park School of Baltimore, she's consulted with more than 400 K-12 schools across the country on curriculum development, parent/school partnerships, and teacher training. Her books for parents and teachers on nurturing sexually healthy children are considered classics in the field. No wonder she's commonly thought of as the country's most articulate spokesperson on comprehensive sexuality education and that Time Magazine has selected her as one of the top parenting experts in the U.S. for the 21st Century. She will highlight her book Talk to Me First: How to Become Your Kids' Go-To Person about Sex. Our moderator is R. Danielle Egan ‘95, Dean of the Faculty and Fuller-Maathai Professor of Gender, Sexuality and Intersectionality Studies at Connecticut College.
NOTE: Zoom link will be emailed to registrants closer to the event date.
